4. Content Ownership & Rights

Your Submissions:

By submitting content to MissingTools, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, and irrevocable right to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute your submission. You retain ownership of your content but acknowledge it becomes publicly available.

Platform Content:

All materials on MissingTools, including text, graphics, logos, and code, are the property of MissingTools or its content suppliers and are protected by copyright and other laws.

Anonymous Nature:

Because submissions are anonymous, we cannot verify content ownership. We cannot process deletion requests for individual submissions as we have no way to verify you created them. We encourage you not to submit confidential or sensitive information.

5. Content Moderation & Removal

We reserve the right to review, moderate, and remove any content that violates these Terms or our policies. We may also:

  • Remove content that violates these Terms at any time
  • Restrict or disable the ability to submit content from accounts showing abuse patterns
  • Ban IP addresses associated with repeated violations
  • Cooperate with law enforcement for illegal activity

If you believe content violates these Terms or is illegal, you can report it through our flagging system. We will review reports and take appropriate action.

6. Voting & Interactions

  • Each browser can vote once per problem using an anonymous cookie
  • You agree not to manipulate votes through bots, automation, or artificial methods
  • Bulk voting or vote manipulation may result in IP bans
  • Vote counts reflect genuine community interest and problem popularity

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • MissingTools is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
  • We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • We are not responsible for user-generated content or third-party actions
  • We are not liable for loss of data, profits, or business opportunities

In no event shall our total liability exceed $100 or the amount you paid for the service (if any).

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MissingTools and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.

9. Service Abuse

12. Termination of Access

We reserve the right to terminate or restrict your access to the Platform if you:

  • Violate these Terms or our policies
  • Engage in abusive, spam, or illegal behavior
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access
